Song of Hope - Educational Guides

When our own words fail, we turn to songs that touch our souls and speak for us. In the wake of October 7th, Beit Avi Chai launched Shir Tikva (Song of Hope), an online series in which celebrated Israeli musicians share songs that comfort them in these difficult times. Each episode features an acoustic performance, an intimate conversation with the artist, and context to deepen understanding. As we mark Israel’s national days, Shir Tikva offers an entry point for reflection on hope, mourning, resilience, and comfort—bridging personal stories with the collective experience.

To enhance engagement with Shir Tikva, we’ve created educational guides with discussion questions, historical context, and activities, turning each episode into a dynamic learning experience. These resources can help us connect personally with Israel’s Yoms, highlighting music’s central role as a meaningful tool for reflection and conversation. Each guide provides a structured way to reflect on these significant days and the role of music in shaping our personal and national identity.
